Personal Profile
Hong-Hu Zhu is a professor of engineering geology and geotechnics, Deputy Director of Human Resources Deparment, and Dean of Institute of Earth Exploration and Sensing at Nanjing University, China. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests lie primarily in fiber optic monitoring and stability evaluation of geohazards. Recognized for his contributions to smart geohazard monitoring and assessment, particularly in geo-interface behaviors, he was honored with the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. In the past decade, he has co-authored 2 books, secured 22 patents, and published over 150 international journal and conference papers.
