Jianfeng Wu
Personal ProfileWu, Jianfeng, a Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Nanjing University, who graduated with a B.Sc degree from Henan Polytechnic University in 1992, and obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D from Nanjing University, in 1997 and in 1999, respectively. Dr. Wu was the recipient of Liu Guangwen Youth Science and Technology Award, and the leader of the 14th Five Year Plan National Key Research and Development Program. Currently, he is serving as the Deputy Director of the Engineering Research Center for Water Treatment and Water Environment Restoration at the Ministry of Education, and the Deputy Director of the Department of Hydrosciences at the School of Earth Science and Engineering, Nanjing University. Dr. Wu’s research mainly focuses on the numerical simulation-optimization techniques related to groundwater flow and transport problems, as well as their applications to groundwater environment. He has led and undertaken more than 20 National and Provincial Projects, including 1 National Key Research and Development Plan project, 2 National Key Research and Development Plan subprojects, and 7 National Natural Science Foundation of China. He also published more than 170 academic papers, including more than 80 SCI papers, 7 monographs/textbooks, and obtained more than 20 national invention and software copyrights. The research results have won 5 provincial and ministerial level scientific research awards, including 2 first prizes (R2, R4) of the Ministry of Education's Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 second prize (R2) of the Ministry of Education's Natural Science Award, and 1 second prize (R1) and 1 third prize (R2) of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award. He also won the 2015 Liu Guangwen Youth Science and Technology Award, the first prize of the Second Higher Education Water Conservancy Professional Teaching Achievement Award (R3), and the second prize of Jiangsu Province Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award (R3).
