Personal Profile

Professor, doctoral supervisor and academic leader of “Qing Lan” Project in Universities of Jiangsu, China. She is a member of the Groundwater Science and Engineering Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and a past member of the Environment Committee of International Commission on Large DamsICOLD.

Pro. Ruan focuses on the elemental cycle mechanism, prevention and control technology of groundwater pollution, prevention and control technology of agricultural non-point source pollution and theory and application of water-quality target management in the basin. The technological methods include molecular biology techniques, stable isotope tracing techniques, water volumn and water quality numerical simulation techniques, etc. She has undertaken National Major Science and Technology Program for Water Pollution Control and Treatment,  Key Project of Natural Science Foundation of China and so on in recent years.
