Terrestrial Mesozoic stratigraphy. Systematics of bivalves. Integration of paleontology, stratigraphy and sedimentology in reconstructing paleoenvironmental changes and understanding the mechanism of exceptionally preserved fossils, especially the formation of the Daohugou and Jehol biotas in western Liaoning, NE China.
