Xiaoqing Shi
Personal ProfileXiaoqing Shi, Ph.D., Professor at the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Nanjing University. Dr. Shi specializes in scientific research and engineering practices related to soil and groundwater pollution prevention and control. His work includes systematic numerical modeling of groundwater flow and contaminant transport, investigation and remediation of organic-polluted sites, as well as research on hydrogeophysical monitoring technologies. He has led nearly twenty research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program, the Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and others. Dr. Shi has published over forty SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author in international mainstream journals such as Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Geophysical Research Letters, Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, and Geophysics. Two of her papers were recognized as high-download papers for Water Resources Research in 2019 and high-cited papers for 2020. Dr. Shi previously served as Lead Guest Editor for Geofluids and Associate Editor for Hydrogeology Journal (2019-2022). Currently, is an editorial board member of the core journals《Safety and Environmental Engineering》and《Geological Science Bulletin》. Dr. Shi received the Liu Guangwen Youth Science and Technology Award in 2019. He was also a key contributor to winning two First-Class Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Institutions Research Excellence Awards in 2009 and 2014.
