Shilei Li is a tenure-track associate professor.He was was awarded the Liu Dongsheng Outstanding Youth Award, Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Program and Nanjing University Yuxiu Young Scholars Program. He received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Nanjing University (supervised by Prof. Jun Chen). During his PhD, he was sponsored by China Scholarship Council to go to Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University as a visiting ph.D student (supervisor: Prof. Maureen E. Raymo). His main research interests are the interplay between tectonics, climate and continental weathering, the evolution of weathering-related paleocarbon cycle and its relationship with planetary habitability.
