Personal Profile

I am Xiankui Zeng, a associate professor specializing in Hydrology and Water Resources. I obtained my Ph.D. in 2012 and became an associate professor at Nanjing University in 2017. My primary research focuses on quantitative analysis and control of uncertainty in hydrological modeling, with the goal of improving the reliability of hydrological simulations using advanced numerical computation and mathematical statistics.

I have published over 50 SCI papers in leading international academic journals, with more than 20 as the first or corresponding author. My work has appeared in important journals in the field of water resources and environmental studies, including the Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, Journal of Hydrometeorology, and Environmental Research. Additionally, I have published over 20 papers in core Chinese journals.

I have led one major national R&D project, one special project, and two general projects under the National Natural Science Foundation, along with youth initiatives. I have received several awards, including a First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education, a Second Prize from the China Coal Industry Science and Technology Association, a Second Prize from the Dayu Water Conservancy Science and Technology Award, a Second Prize for Marine Science and Technology Innovation from Shandong Province, and a Natural Resources Science and Technology Award.

I have co-authored four books and three textbooks, contributed to the development of one local standard, and hold eight national invention patents and eight software copyrights. I currently serve as the deputy editor of the international SCI journal Hydrogeology Journal, the secretary-general of the Groundwater Subcommittee of the Chinese National Committee for the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, and the secretary-general of the Hydrogeology Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Geological Society.
